Fantastic experience from beginning to end with the entire team at Charlotte Decks and Porches. We were looking to build a covered deck and from the moment Jeff came onsite we knew we had found the team we wanted to work with. From the quoting process to building, Jeff and his team went above and beyond to ensure all questions were answered and concerns were alleviated. We used Charlotte Decks and Porches to tear down our existing wooden deck and replace it with composite decking and an Eze Breeze screened-in porch. His team showed up on time and everything was professional quality. He was very responsive to any questions we had throughout the entire project. We've been enjoying our new deck and porch over the last month and it has been an amazing addition to our home. I would highly recommend Jeff and his team!

This is the fourth renovation project we have completed since we bought our house in 2013 and this was by far the best experience. We can not thank Jeff and his team enough. From the initial estimate all the way through the final punch, Jeff and staff were always punctual showing up right at the specified time. Once permits were in place construction seemed to fly by. Staff always cleaned up and respected our home which was nice given the fact that we have young children (no spare nails or power tools ever left behind). And most importantly the final product was absolutely stunning of the highest quality. My wife and I could not be happier.

We can't thank Jeff and his team at Charlotte Decks and Porches enough for our beautiful screened porch! Every aspect of the construction work was completed without issue and in a timely manner. Even with a few wet days and the winter holidays, our project was completed as promised. It was so nice to have a contractor who really did handle EVERY detail and made us comfortable with construction project from start to finish. We loved the fact that there was progress being made on project daily ... no long waits or interruptions once the work started. Jeff's team is friendly, reliable, and they cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. We 100% feel like we picked the right team for our project and would highly recommend them to anyone considering a new deck or porch. Thanks Jeff, we're ready for Spring!!

After receiving two recommendations from friends, I contacted Charlotte Decks and Porches for a big project that my husband and I had in mind. Jeff, the owner, responded quickly and gave us a very reasonable quote. He worked with us to create exactly what we wanted, offered helpful suggestions and was flexible when we requested last minute changes. The quality of the work is excellent, and we are so pleased with the finished product. The company works like a well-oiled machine and made the construction process as easy as possible from start to finish. We will be enjoying our porch and deck for many years to come. After a long search, my husband and I chose Charlotte Decks and Porches to replace our old deck with a bigger deck with a roof. (See before and after pictures below.) Jeff (owner) gave us a quote and a time frame and he was spot on. The only things that changed in his quote were things that we added on after the fact, and the job was done when he said they’d be done (without cutting corners and despite some weather challenges). This crew was the most impressive and professional crew we've ever worked with. They cleaned up the job site every day before leaving; they had materials delivered as needed so we didn't have our property or driveway obstructed for long periods of time; they were polite, easy to communicate with, and very respectful. Jeff was on site just about every day to check on the progress and to check in with us. He was very responsive to emails and stayed on top of any concerns we may have had. Even his sub-contractors were great (painters, electricians, gutters, etc.) and Jeff made sure that their work was top quality from beginning to end. We are beyond pleased with the look and craftsmanship of our deck! I cannot say enough about how impressed we are with Charlotte Decks and Porches, and we would recommend them to anyone.

Jeff and the entire Charlotte Decks and Porches team did a fantastic job with our covered deck. The project was managed efficiently, completed within the timeframe provided, and looks incredible. Jeff was extremely responsive throughout all phases of the process and provided valuable input on key decisions. All team members and subs were nothing but professional and courteous throughout. Jeff and his team recently completed a screened porch and deck project for us and we couldn’t be happier with the result! Jeff was great to work with through every phase of the project – from providing us with a timely quote, to partnering with us to design the detailed plans and to quickly answering all of our (many!) questions before, during and after construction along with constantly keeping us updated on status and schedule. Jeff’s team with Ben and crew did great work and were very professional and efficient and kept the work area clean/organized, and we had similar experiences with the other teams involved in the project (Rob the electrician in particular was great). Would recommend Charlotte Decks and Porches to anyone!

We used Charlotte Decks based on seeing a beautiful closed in porch they were working on in the neighborhood and we not disappointed. Jeff and his team had great communication, delivered as promised and did excellent work on our own 3 season closed in deck which is perfect for this region. I have to say this has been the best experience with a builder and also the best purchase we have made since being homeowners. We have an outdoor oasis that makes me smile everything I sit down and relax on the deck, so recommending Charlotte Decks and porches is easy to do. They deliver beauty and quality to our home!

Jeff and his crew did an excellent job adding a two-tiered deck, patio, 2 pergolas, and a covered porch to the back of our home. We had some complex design and architectural issues to solve, and Jeff was able to pull it all together into a very attractive outdoor living area at a price much less than the quotes we received from others. Highly recommend.

Deck Builder

A suburb in Charlotte, North Carolina

Matthews is located in southeastern Mecklenburg County, North Carolina and is a suburb of Charlotte City. The town is spread on an area of approximately 17.2 square miles, and according to the latest reports, the city has a population of over 27.000 residents with 11.349 households and 7904 families residing here, and a population density of 1557.1 people per square mile.

Once an affluent area of woodlands, it was occupied by farmer settlers in the early 1800s, who cleared the land from trees and started planting cotton around the beginning of the 19th century. Because of the land clearing, the town used to be called Stumptown, as a result of all the tree stumps left around by the settlers. By 1920, cotton fields surrounded the city and represented a considerable business in the area. There were also several gin businesses.

The town is now a bustling area, perfect for families and couples that want to lead an active life. Although somewhat small, the city features numerous public and private schools as well as hotels, restaurants, shopping centers, and recreational facilities. Matthews also has ten downtown buildings from the late 19th century and early 20th century that are listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
