This is the fourth renovation project we have completed since we bought our house in 2013 and this was by far the best experience. We can not thank Jeff and his team enough. From the initial estimate all the way through the final punch, Jeff and staff were always punctual showing up right at the specified time. Once permits were in place construction seemed to fly by. Staff always cleaned up and respected our home which was nice given the fact that we have young children (no spare nails or power tools ever left behind). And most importantly the final product was absolutely stunning of the highest quality. My wife and I could not be happier.

After a long search, my husband and I chose Charlotte Decks and Porches to replace our old deck with a bigger deck with a roof. (See before and after pictures below.) Jeff (owner) gave us a quote and a time frame and he was spot on. The only things that changed in his quote were things that we added on after the fact, and the job was done when he said they’d be done (without cutting corners and despite some weather challenges). This crew was the most impressive and professional crew we've ever worked with. They cleaned up the job site every day before leaving; they had materials delivered as needed so we didn't have our property or driveway obstructed for long periods of time; they were polite, easy to communicate with, and very respectful. Jeff was on site just about every day to check on the progress and to check in with us. He was very responsive to emails and stayed on top of any concerns we may have had. Even his sub-contractors were great (painters, electricians, gutters, etc.) and Jeff made sure that their work was top quality from beginning to end. We are beyond pleased with the look and craftsmanship of our deck! I cannot say enough about how impressed we are with Charlotte Decks and Porches, and we would recommend them to anyone.

Charlotte Decks and Porches surpassed our expectations in every way.Trustworthy Timeline. The crew began work on our project on the exact day that Jeff indicated. He said the screen porch would take six weeks to complete and (despite a stretch of rainy weather) it took six weeks to complete.Communication. Jeff and I sent dozens of emails back and forth throughout the process. We knew the payment schedule, we knew when we had to make decisions (deck material, paint/stain colors, electrical details, etc.), we knew what options were available, we knew when the crew was going to work on a Saturday, we knew when inspectors were coming, we knew when painters were coming. There were no surprises.Quality of Work. The crew paid attention to every detail and built an impressive structure. They worked deliberately and they took pride in their work. They were experienced and professional.Value. The overall cost was very similar to other quotes that we received. With the exception of extra charges for skylights and speakers that we added mid-project, the final price matched the initial quote exactly.Charlotte Decks and Porches is the right choice for any screen porch project in the Charlotte area.

An Area Edge City in Charlotte, North Carolina

SouthPark is an area edge city in Charlotte, North Carolina and is essentially a concentration of business and entertainment facilities located outside the downtown of Charlotte, in an area that was previously residential. The name of the city comes from SouthPark Mall, opened back in 1970, on February 12^th. Nowadays, SouthPark Mall is the largest shopping mall in Charlotte and North Carolina, counting over 1.8 million square feet.

Located in the south central sector of the city, approximately 6 miles south from Charlotte’s City center, SouthPark is a mixed-use area, home to the shopping mall, but as well as to a residential area and one of Charlotte’s most significant business districts.

The neighborhood was not always this high-class, having been part of a 3000-acre farm, owned by Cameron Morrison, a former North Carolina Governor. The residents named the Morrison Boulevard next to the SouthPark Mall in his honor.

The edge city has an excellent public transport system, with five buses, and serves as a transit hub and a transfer point. An interesting fact about SouthPark is that it is the home of Nucor, a Fortune 300 company, the largest steel producer in the United States and the largest “mini-mill” steelmaker, as well as the biggest recycler of any material.
